Tool Introduction
Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale (BPRS) free online test. The BPRS scale was compiled by Overall and Gorham in 1962. It is one of the most widely used rating scales in psychiatry and is mainly used to assess the severity of psychotic symptoms. The scale is suitable for most patients with severe mental illness who have psychotic symptoms, especially for patients with schizophrenia.
Since patients with psychotic symptoms often suffer varying degrees of impairment in self-awareness, the evaluation method for psychotic symptoms is mainly external evaluation. This scale also belongs to external evaluation scales. Generally, professionals need to communicate with patients and then evaluate the options by professionals. Users can refer to it for reference. Self-evaluation is generally not recommended.
