Scale introduction

Depression Test Scale - Flow Depression Scale (CES-D) is a free online test. CES-D was compiled by Sirodff of the National Institute of Mental Health in the United States in 1977. Its original name was the Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale. It is widely used in epidemiological surveys to screen out subjects with depressive symptoms for further examination and diagnosis. Some people also use it as a clinical examination to assess the severity of depressive symptoms. Compared with other self-rating depression scales, CES-D focuses more on the individual's emotional experience and less on the physical symptoms of depression.
